3B13 Physical Properties of Liquid Crystal mixtures containing materials with a difluoromethyleneoxy moiety as a linkage group (1)

Abstract

We have developed the effective new liquid crystal compounds having a difluoromethyleneoxy moiety (-CF_2O-) as a linkage group. They have high dielectric anisotropy (Δε) and low rotational viscosity (γ_1) with good reliability. We took results that our new materials were suitable for A/M LCDs to develop low power consumption and reduce response time with good reliability.
