PA32 Interfacial effect on the successive transition of antiferroelectric smectics

Abstract

In antiferroelectric smectic materials, various types of responses such as V-shaped, normal and abnormal ones have been observed at a transmittance of light to the electric field. In order to clarify the mechanism of the responses, dynamics of ANNNXY model with biquadratic interaction is studied under an electric field.
