Abstract
We have synthesized the novel liquid crystalline compounds having a difluoromethyleneoxy moiety as a linkage group in satisfactory yields. Their synthesized compounds have showed peculiar physical properties (broad nematic temperature range, large dielectric anisotropy (Δε) and extremely low viscosity (γ_1)), and some LC mixtures included in their compounds have showed high voltage holding ratio. By using their compounds we can prepare LC mixtures for AM-LCDs with quick response and low driven voltage.
