Abstract
The vapor pressures of binary nematic liquid crystal mixtures were investigated by means of regular solution theory, which is one of the thermodynamic treatments for non-ideal systems. Solubility parameters were used to estimate the activity coefficient for liquid crystal solution. As a result, it is not worth while to attempt to correct the vapor pressures of liquid crystal mixtures for deviations from Raoult's law in vapor pressure-composition curves.
