Abstract

We have performed electrooptic measurements under DC electric fields to construct the E (electric field) -T (temperature) phase diagram. In an antiferroelectric liquid crystal MHPOCBC, which has the SmC_α^* phase over a wide temperature range, we observed some anomalies corresponding to phase transition.
