3A19 LC Alignment Control on Inorganic VA Films Combined with Oblique Evaporation of SiOx Film II

Abstract

We have investigated the LC alignment control on inorganic vertical alignment film aiming at applying the method to a LC projector. By using oblique evaporation of SiOx on the inorganic alignment film, we succeed in generating pretilt angle on the film and demonstrate the usefulness of the method to LC projector application.
