Abstract
We have experimentally investigated molecular interaction effect of fluorinated phenyl-bicyclohexane molecules dissolved in an isotropic and an anisotropic solvents. The molecular association leads to the formation of polar dimmers in the solution with increasing concentration. The low frequency dielectric and light scattering measurements of polar and apolar correlation factors are reported for some fluorinated dipolar mesogens, and interpreted in terms of the Botter-Bordewijk model for molecular association.
