Abstract
Recently, a Large-size LCD requires wide viewing angles and high contrast ratios. For this reason, liquid crystal standard modes with wide viewing angles and high contrast ratios are in use now, such as IPS mode and VA mode. However, also in those modes, the polarizer induces the problem of the viewing angle dependence. In this research, we uses the optical film with the characteristic of negative A-Plate, and investigates reducing the viewing angle dependence from crossed polarizers.
