Abstract
Measurements of dielectric dispersion have been carried out over a frequency range of 1 Hz to 100 kHz on 8422[2F3] and TSiKN65 which are liquid crystals showing de Vries SmA*-SmC* phase transiton. The strength and relaxation frequency of the main dispersion have been studied. In the SmA* phase, it was found that the strength of the dispersion increases significantly on approaching the transition temperature, while the relaxation frequency lowers dramatically. We also plan to decide and discuss critical exponent values.
