Abstract
The domain shapes and orientational structure of DPPC monolayers were characterized by Brewster angle microscopy and Maxwell displacement current to investigate domain shapes comprised of chiral molecules. It was observed that, in the course of monolayer compression, the domain increases size and turn into asymmetric shape from circular domain. The growth of DPPC domains is discussed in terms of shape equation of monolayer domain.
