Abstract
The perfluoroaukylation of the peripheral alkyl chains of triphenylenes leads to the characteristic properties such as thermal enhancement and spontaneous homeotroic alignment. In this work, new phthalocyanine mesogens with perfluoroalkyl chains were synthesized to study the mesomorphism.
