Abstract
We have investigated the three component liquid micro-emulsion system made by conventional liquid crystal(7ocb), perfluorinated liquid crystal(BI) and purfluorinated oil, and found following novel phase transition behaviors:i) Near I-N phase transition: We have found the clear orientation fluctuation mode by DLS measurement above I-N phase transition before anisotropic nematic phase appear under polarizing microscope observation. Existence of the transparent nematic phase can be strongly expected as similar to the inverse micelle dispersed in the nematic phase. ii) In the vicinity of the N-SmA phase transition: We have found anomalous critical slowing down of the orientation fluctuation just above N-SmA phase transition.
