Abstract
In this study, we calculated the photonic band structures and the transmission properties of cholesteric blue phases (BPs) deformed by an electric field using Finite-Difference Time-Domain method. Order parameter tensor of BPs calculated by Landau-de Geenes theory was used in this calculation. As a result of deforming of their lattice structure caused applying electric field along the (100) direction of BPII, reflection band shift was observed with keeping their circular polarization selectivity.
