Abstract
We have proposed reverse-mode polymer dispersed liquid crystal (R-PDLC) devices based on a nematic LC and a small amount of reactive mesogen. In this work, we have studied on cell gap dependence on electric optical properties in reverse mode PDLC cells with homogeneous,TN and STN orientation modes. A polymer-rich layer near the substrate and a polymer-poor layer model was proposed and the dependence on a contrast ratio and driving voltage were discussed.
