PB33 In-plane Switching between Two Orientation States of LC Director in the Bistable Cell by Using Oblique Irradiation of Polarized UV Light

Abstract

The bistable property is induced on the vertical alignment film by using the oblique irradiation technique of the polarized UV light has been reported by another group, and also it has been confirmed by our group. However, the bistable switching in the cell has not been successful so far. In this study, the bistable switching is attempted by the fabricating condition of the optical-alignment treatment is changed.
