Abstract
We synthesized chiral poly(bithienylenephenylene) (PBTP*) derivatives in thermally helicity-controllable asymmetric liquid crystal reaction field. The chiral nematic liquid crystal (N*-LC) reaction field was prepared by adding two kinds of chiral dopants into host nematic liquid crystals (NLCs). The thermally helicity-controllable N*-LC provided us with two helically π-stacked conjugated polymers with opposite helical sense depending on the polymerization temperature.
