Gas permeability through free-standing LC films: dependence on director field

Abstract

The gas permeability through free-standing LC films is known to depend on the molecular structures and the LC phases. In this report, we examine the dependence of the gas permeability on the dynamical director field, which was inspired by Lehmann effect driven by transmembrane gas transport. We study how the gas permeability is affected by the director field and motion.
