Abstract
Since the power generation efficiency of organic photovoltanic (OPV) cells is lower than that of conventional Si solar cells, OPV cells has not been put into practical use. In order to improve the efficiency, we try to increase the interface area between a p-type layer of pentacene and an n-type layer of C_<60> by using UV patterning method. The method is applied to obtain the selective deposition of pentacene film on UV-patterned SAM film. As a result, interface roughness between pentacene and C_<60> is controlled, resulting in improving the efficiency of OPV cells.
