Abstract

Organic materials showing efficient luminescence in aggregates are increasingly attractive due to the broad practical application in optical devices such as OLED. Particularly, gold(I) complex is one of the most promising materials to introduce aggregation-induced emission (AIE) owing to its ability to form emissive dimers via aurophilic interaction. In this work, a series of rod-like gold complexes were synthesized. We particularly focused on the study of the effect of molecular structure and aggregated structure on photophysical properties. Further, the AIE behavior and luminescence behavior of gold complexes in various aggregated states will be discussed in detail.
