Field dependence of mobility with spatial correlation in organic semiconductors of liquid crystal

Abstract

We have developed a Correlated Disorder Model (CDM) for the charge transport properties of liquid crystalline organic semiconductors. In this study, we introduced a degree of correlation for charge transport in liquid crystals that depends on the arrangement and orientation of the molecules. We found that the field dependence of mobility for several model molecules can be explained by our CDM for different phases of liquid crystal.
