Abstract
An experimental investigation with DSC has been made for the solvent effect of 5CB. The concentration vs. TNI curves for the aprotic solvents with 5CB is drop down more drastically than that for the protic solvent systems. Further, in order to argue the interaction between the 5CB and solvent, we studied the electronic state of 5CB in aceton and methanol by means of the solid state NMR.
