Abstract

Results of the experiment are described where OMEGA receiving signal was digitalized and then, Phase Shift Keying of 70 MHz carrier frequency was performed by the digitalized signal and finally up-converted to C-band and transmitted to and back from the Application Technology Satellite 1.

According to the result of comparison between direct receiving of OMEGA signal and indirect receiving via ATS-1, deviation of the phase difference between both was in the range of 0.5∼2.7 centi-lane in standard deviation.

It was demonstrated that OMEGA receiving signal transmission via satellite was possible with small deviation even in such a severe condition that link parameter C/N equalled 0 dB.

In addition, Doppler phase shift was found out in the OMEGA signal transmitted back via ATS-1 due to movement of the satellite.
