Date of correction: November 27, 2008Reason for correction: -Correction: ABSTRACTDetails: Wrong : Carboxyl-groups occur in standard cellulose as a result of depolymerization of the cellulose chain by perhydrol, calk-solution, and K-permanganate solution; and a volume of Ca Combined to cellulose with these carooxyl-groups; and a lowering of viscosity of cellulose solution based upon &polymeri-zation were determined. From these, the author drew the inference that a portion of ash in pulp not only combined to non-cellulose matter and a lower cellulose as β and γ-cellulose, but also to a higher cellulose in α-cellulose, and that the volume of this portion depended upon an oxidation which should take plane in the pulping process.
