Abstract
The crank angle θ which the shuttle arrives at the shuttle box end, the rotating crank angle, (_??_a-θa) or (_??_b-θb), during the shuttle runs between the both box-ends and the distances between the box end and the position where the shuttle stops are measured statisticaly for the automatic cotton loom by the use of stroboflash lamp. The standard deviations of θ and s are 2.5 deg. and 1 mm respectively. The difference, (_??_a-θa)-(_??_b-θb), and its standard deviation are 10 and 6 deg. respectively.
