Abstract
Most of old wooden houses are necessary to reconstruct or to repair. So the repair system of external wall using tile faced panels has been promised. In this paper the execution method of attaching the tile faced panel to an originally existing frame of old wooden houses over the existing wall finish is studied. The tile faced panel of 10.9kg / m~2 in mass is used. The tile faced panel is screwed by the steel nails(3 pieces / m~2)to the wooden frame of existing old wooden houses. The nail is screwed so that the pulling out strength of one nail must be greater than 1000N, meanwhile the maximum load applied by wind on one nail is 310N.Then the safety factor is 3.22.The pulling out strength of the nails screwed to the wooden frame of existing old wooden houses is examined.Almost all wooden frame of the existing old wooden houses has the pulling out strength of nail greater than 1000N.Then it is considered that this execution method to repair the external wall using tile faced panels is available.
