They can find various types of uncertainty in real decision problems. In the conventional approaches to decision problems under risk probability theory has been introduced to cope with uncertainty. To treat another type of uncertainty this article focuses on possibility and necessity for uncertain information and discus the meaning of possibility and necessity. The decision problems with possibilistic information are formalized and the decision making process is described mathematically. The information processing model is illustrated through two examples.
