Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate possibilities of applying a schematic representation of fuzzy set formed by concentric circles as an estimation scale to various kinds of measurement. College student subjects were asked to evaluate what degree they are regarded as children and draw an x mark in the suitable position on a concentric circle fuzzy scale. The subjects were also asked to perform some evaluations using concentric circle fuzzy scales. Then the subjects were ordered to evaluate same items with the numbers from 0 to 100. All coefficient correlation between evaluation value using concentric circle fuzzy scales and evaluation value with the numbers from 0 to 100 were significant (p<0.01). Possibility and problems of fuzzy measurements using concentric circle fuzzy scales are discussed.
