Abstract
This paper presents a switching fuzzy control technique based on virtual equilibrium convergence. We provide an iterative algorithm to automatically generate virtual equilibrium points and to design local stable controllers around the corresponding virtual equilibrium points. A key idea of this algorithm is to achieve a control system design guaranteeing a wider stabilization range by switching the local stable controllers. Simulation results demonstrate the utility of this algorithm.
