Abstract

In this paper,we propose an IF-THEN- rule based inference method which is necessary to construct a natural language communication system and an expert system, and so on. The method is referred to how to estimate a truth qualifier tB1 when an input proposition is QA are F is t and IF-THEN- rule IF Q1A1 are F1 is tA THEN Q2A2 are F2 is tB is given and an inference result is Q2A2 are F2 is tB1(Q,Q1,Q2:Fuzzy quantifiers,A,A1,A2:Fuzzy subjects, F,F1,F2:Fuzzy predicates,t,tA,tB,tB1:Truth qualifiers). We propose a method which infers a result proposition Q2A2 are F2 is tB1 for monotone Q's and show concrete application examples of the method.
