Clustering Individual Opinions Based on Rough Sets

Abstract

Decision rules with minimal conditions are obtained from a given decision table by a rough set analysis. When the decision table represnts subjective evaluation by a person, such minimal decision rules can be regarded as the essence of his/her opinion. From this point of view, we propose a rough set based apporach to analyze group opinions under given multiple decision tables. In this paper, an agglomerative hierarchical clustering method for multiple decision tables is proposed for the analysis of opinion distribution and several common opinions in the group.
