Comparative Study of Fuzzy-set Concurrent Rating Method and Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set

Abstract

The Fuzzy-set Concurrent Rating Method (FCR method) was developed by T.Oda as a novel psychological measurement method. In the method, subjects are instructed to check both the positive scale and the negative scale. As a fundamental theory of the method, Hyper Logic Model (HLS model) was introduced. HLS is a direct product of Truthfulness and Falsity. On the other hand, Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set(IFS) ,which was proposed K. Atanasov, assumes degree of membership to a set and the degree of non-membership. The IFS model resembles to the HLS model. This study compared them and showed the superiority of the HLS model.
