Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to investigate people's efforts toward a dialogue interface of robots with video analysis method. In order to examine the communication within a real home environment, we analyzed a video of life experiment over the course of 16-day-long. Subjects were a couple in their sixties. For 24 hours, subjects' life were recorded with camera and microphone. As a result, it is found that subjects patiently and continuously used the robot's dialogue interface for 16 days. It is indicated that the factor promoting dialogue communication is related to (a) the existence of a remote control, (b) the variety of vocabulary, and (c) the positive evaluations / emotions for the robot itself.
