Abstract
The current users of real-time online communication tools have a problem in recognizing the status of interaction partners. Therefore, the start of dialogue has a risk of unintended interruption of the partner. To overcome the problem, we developed the agent that estimates the status of interaction partner and expresses it to others using avatar. The agent focuses on application-switching as a potential intelligent activity discontinuity and estimates uninterruptibility. The agent expresses the uninterruptibility of partners instinctively using avatar's posture and motion. Moreover, the agent presents ambient expression like a joint gaze instead of the user, and urges the partner to recognize user's intention for supporting acceptable dialogue start.
