Fuzzy Clustering Level Analysis via Statistical Scheme Applying AIC and GIC

Abstract

Recently Uesu and Shinkai proposed a rational method to decide the optimal level of fuzzy clustering with a partition tree. In [2] we improved their methods by use of AIC to show that the new statistical scheme could find a statistically equilibrium optimal level of fuzzy clustering. Furthermore we also consider the statistical method for fuzzy clustering analysis using GIC which is an improvement of AIC.
