Abstract
Traffic congestions are one of the most significant problems in urban areas. For it, it is required to develop an efficient signal control system.
In this paper, we propose a new signal control method , which each signal communicates the traffic quantity measured by its sensors with the other signals and determines the appropriate split time based on the communicated traffic quantity by fuzzy reasonings.
We verify the efficiency of the method by a microscopic road traffic simulator MITRAM which also uses fuzzy reasonings.
