From everyday robots to androids - Robotics for understanding human -

Abstract

This article presents a new framework in Robotics. It is called "android science". In the new framework, robotics is tightly integrated with science. In order to develop robots, knowledge from cognitive science is important and the developed robots can be used as test beds for verifying hypotheses in cognitive science.
