Abstract
Updating or conditioning given a specific fact is important in dealing with uncertainty measures. In Evidence
theory, several methods have been proposed, including Dempster's rule of conditioning. The paper views the
conditioning rules proposed so far and proposes a new model of conditioning rule. Then, comparison between the
proposed and Dempster's rule as well as others shows that the proposed conditioning is the only one that satisfies the
requirements which we believe the conditioning rule should satisfy.
