p-Norm Based Fuzzy c-Means

In this paper, we propose two variants of Fuzzy c-Means (FCM) clustering algorithm. Both models are extended to admit the case where the dissimilarity measure on pairs of numerical vectors includes p-norm to the qth power. One is the algorithm using Newton method, and the other is the algorithm for the case of p = 2, using alternative optimization.
