Recently, e-learning systems using computers and the Internet have been widely used with the spread of the personal computer to schools, universities and etc. An e-learning system has the advantage that a user can study with his pace and understanding level. However, it has the disadvantage that it is difficult for a user to keep the learning will well, and that the teacher can not visually catch the learner's situation. The purpose of this study is to compose the system that keeps learner's concentration level by taking pictures of the learner from two directions (front and side) with Web cameras. We judge whether the learner is studying well or not by classifying the pictures with the Adaboost and neural networks. Moreover, in order to show the effectiveness of these functions, we perform experiments to examine the accuracy of each judgment and we discuss the results.
