Abstract

Recently, the incidence of crime has decreased, but the interest in the safety of residents tends to be still high. And so, actions such as offering and gathering the crime information through Internet by the police and the local government have been performed. Therefore, we have studied about a method for recommendation of the security information considering circumstances. And, this paper focuses on methods for analysis of the characteristic information of the road using GIS. Many existing researches focused on functional character of road to analyze crimes. But, in these cases, there are few studies analyzed based on the relationships between road and the distribution of premises. However, by analyzing based on these characteristics of each road, it is suggested that can apply the obtained result to other similar roads. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for evaluating the local security by distinctive relationships between each road of crime scene and the distribution of the premises, and demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
