Abstract

In this paper we develop a decision support system using fuzzy reasoning, where a menu is selected by the system. If we assume the menu planning for a hospital food service, home-delivery service, etc., an appropriate selection of the menu corresponding to an individual's preferences is required. In this case, fuzzy reasoning is used to determine the quantity of a nutrient, quantity of a certain dish, and which nutrient is important. Our proposed system suggests a menu choice that corresponds best to an individual for achieving a healthy and balanced nutrition.
