Abstract

When a person walks through a town, huge amount of information develops in front of him rapidly. He perceives part of it, and besides, cognize more limited information. This selection of information is an unconscious process, but it determines whether he can understand the way to his goal or he will get lost, because the spatial traveling is understudied using this cognized information. In this presentation, the relation between the local environmental information cognized during walking through a town and the spatial traveling understanding is studied based on experimental data. And the difference of usage of this information between a person who understands the way and a person who does not is shown.
