Abstract
Due to the influence of recent abnormal weather, the role of disaster prevention education is becoming increasingly critical as soft measures of reducing the risk of frequent torrential rain. When teaching the phenomena and concepts in the prevention of torrential rainfall disaster to general public and children who are not acquainted with that area, the course materials must be created with the easy-to-understand explanations. It is important, therefore, to help the creators to paraphrase the original explanations into more plain, easy expressions from perspectives of target users. In this paper, we present a method for paraphrasing explanations with domain-specific terms to be plain expressions understandable for the target users.
