Abstract
Differential evolution is a population-based stochastic search technique for solving optimization problems in a continuous space. DE belongs to the class of evolutionary algorithms and is similar to Genetic Algorithms (GA). Due to its simplicity, effectiveness and robustness, DE has been applied to a variety of real-world problems. As one of the successful application, Interactive DE (IDE) which enables the optimization that considers subjective preference and sensitivity were reported. In this paper, we propose a fashion coordinate support system using IDE.The system aims to provide suitable color coordinated selection to user.In the IDE, each individual represents a set of colors of shirt, skirt and shoes. The gene code expresses a color information of these three items. Differential operator chooses a target vector, a base vector and differential vectors as parents from a population and generates a child called a trial vector. The user evaluates the solution candidates, which are the target vector and the trial vector, shown as a color coordinated image by the system and selects the preferred candidate. The candidate survives to the next generation. Finally, proposed system confirmed the validity through experiments.
