Abstract
To realize the society where human beings and robots live together, the flexible understanding ability of human intention is required for the robot. In this research, we aim to realize Interactive Emotion Communication (IEC), that is, bidirectional communication based on emotional behavior between a human being and a humanoid robot. The purpose of IEC is to raise the personal affinity which the robot gives to the human by interactive emotional behavior between both of them. In this research, we confirmed how human emotion changes by the interaction between humanoid robot and human being. Firstly, we show a robot behavior based on the Laban's movement analysis to subjects. Secondly, we perform the questionnaires by statistical analysis of Hayashi's quantification methods type I to analyze robot emotional behavior. Thirdly, we carry out short-time interaction experiments between the humanoid robot with obtained emotional behavior and human being. Then, we confirmed that the robot emotional behavior is able to amplify or reduce human emotions under the certain conditions.
