Agglomerative algorithms and seequential algorithms with pairwise constraints

Abstract

Semi-supervised clustering using pairwise constraints has been studied by many reserchers. However most of them are focused on non-hierarchical clustering. There are few studies on agglomerative hierarchical clustering and sequential clustering with pairwise constraints. In this paper, we propose two new methods based on these two clustering algorithms and investigate their performances through numerical examples.
