Abstract
A driver control the vicle based on the visual scene through the front view or left-right side miller and a front miller in order to keep the safty. Since the traffic regulations, especially, driving sides are different between Japan and USA, driver's visual scene from driving cockpit are different. This different driving configuration in Japan and USA is one of the factors that causes the traffic accidents. In this paper we analize the effect of the difference of traffic regulations on the visual recognition of driverbetween Japan and USA based on the driving experiments.
