Abstract
Recently, utilization of decision rules from the historical and survey data is getting popular. To evaluate the decision rules, many interestingness measures as well as confirmation measures have been proposed in knowledge discovery. In this study, we investigate the indices to measure the effect of conditions and the joint effect of two elementary conditions in decision rules. We consider desirable properties for the effects and define the indices. We define also overall effect and ovaerall joint effect. We examine the proposed indices through an evalution experiment.
