Abstract
The paper proposes an Interactive Evolutionary Computing using knowledge acquisition by Variable Precision Rough Set that aims at reducing user's burden of interactions. First, it acquires knowl- edge to get solutions for users through interactions and generates an evaluation function from the knowledge using Variable Precision Rough Set. The evaluation function is used for GA search in the solution space. The GA search is stopped before the convergence, and the evaluation function is revised through new interactions with current solution candidates in population. This process is repeated until the user finally gets a satisfied solution.
