Abstract
A Current drug efficacy classification system is partially based on active ingredients and action sites. This means the classification is not determined purely based on "efficacy". The previous study proposed the classification based on the clustering technique applied to the descriptions of indications or efficacies in medical package inserts, but its target was limited to circulatory drugs. Our target is the classification of all medical drugs in Japan. In this study, we propose to formulate a standard to extract clusters from the dendrogram based on the relations between the number of medicines and words in the clusters appearing at each junction of the dendrogram.
